The Completion of Talks with TU Berlin university to Create a Joint Masters Program in Establishing Treatment Plants

Dr. Wael Mualla, President of Damascus University, met on March 22nd with Professor UweTroger, professor at TU Berlin and Project Coordinator for Arab/Iranian/German dialogue, to review the activities of the next phase of the project and the importance of supporting it in order to achieve optimum benefit for the participating students from Damascus University.

The two sides continue the discussions about the creation of a joint master degree program through the Faculty of Civil Engineering in establishing treatment plants and reusing water.  

Dr. Mualla emphasized the importance of expeditiously launching the master program, as well as securing appropriate facilities and providing it with the requisite support, as it is a basic need for the development of Syria.

For his part, Professor Troger suggested the possible participation of Damascus University in supervising doctoral research undertaken by German graduate students in matters relating to water pollution and the possibility of protecting drinking water from surrounding factors.
